We had an old highway thru the St. Louis area that had many low clearance bridges. We finally got it rebuilt last year and now it can be used by just about any truck of legal size. Wonder why this one is so low.
Here is a question for any of you to answer. If you check the database and see there are recalls on your particular car but you bought the car used how do you find out if any of the issues have been fixed or not? My car had 6 different recalls though it seems a majority of them were the same part just made by different manufacturers.
Due to the fact that I have only one good eye I don't get the 3D effect. But I did notice on the Avatar movie that I had to wear the stupid glasses or some of the screen was fuzzy. How will the 3d effect transfer to DVD for home use. Will if have 2 formats, 3D & non-3D. Or will I have to wear the stupid glasses or put up with the fuzzy picture.
I hope they warned everyone about this might happen that day. If something like that happened around here in the USA without any prior warning I think most people would have freaked out and thought a terrorist blew up a nuke or something.
I'm as non-union as they come. The AFL-CIO machinist union screwed my father out of his pension. But with that said, I wouldn't have a grief with the union bitching in this case if the city hired/payed someone to clear this path since the city is unionized. But this was a volunteer effort (NO $ involved) so shut up and go find some jobs for out of work due paying members and stop wasting money on filing legal cases when there is no real case. The city can't afford your union rates right now. Maybe there is a lesson to be learned here.
Fires at Fire Stations happen more than you would think. Usually its because they were Cooking a meal when they get a call and they don't turn off the burners in their hurry to get going. The newer stations have a kill switch near the main door that they hit on the way out. It shuts down the stove/oven until someone resets it.
A fellow draftsman & I used to draw sea monsters on our surveys in no print pencil when ever we drew a survey along a water way. We used the no print pencil because you couldn't allow these to show up on the printed copies that would be sent out to the client. Basically it was purple pencil and when you ran it through the print machine they wouldn't show up.
Jill How would you find an oven to bake one piece of bread 179 feet long. Even if Granite City Steel would allow you to use their ovens You'd never be able to move it as one piece. Besides this was a Charity event for Lift for Life not a Guinness world record attempt. Great job for a Great Cause wish I could have been there.

(Can be said by either the goat or the kid)

Something tells me it was one of the best things to happen to Teane Harris too. She sounds like she desearves much better than this guy.
Wonder if she can write this party off as a charitable contribution on her taxes?
