Yeah, distance plunging isn't a real sport. Not like running in a straight line and jumping over a stick every few steps.

Rope climb is still an activity that gymnasts get tested on; it just isn't part of competition because it's too easy.

I don't see why tug of war shouldn't be at the Olympics, as long as they're going to keep the relay races.

It looks like gymnastics to me. Gymnastics in sneakers and t-shirt, and with a more engaged crowd than the usual golf-clap audience you usually get, but basically gymnastics.

The boomers may have developed more social conscience because they didn't have to worry about the material world. Probably no generation in history has been as privileged as the boomers. They may not have had iPads, but they got to experience ever-increasing wages, low unemployment, and culture that's catered to the large demographic for decades. The millenials grew up in more difficult times, so like the greatest generation, they may be more self-centered. Also like the greatest generation, millenials will have to suffer through the economy their parents crashed and fight the wars their parents started.

It's translucent because it's a throwback to the 1990s, and lots of consumer electronics were translucent back then. It was a common fad. Why hasn't it been updated? Well, why would anyone update a typewriter?

1) Turn off jammer, leave it your in bag.
2) Go through airport security.
3) Get pulled aside for random, enhanced screening.
4) Try to explain why you have a device deliberately designed to interfere with communications equipment.

I noticed several differences:

- Font on the main numerals is different
- Knobs are different size and shape
- Black triangle detail at 12-o'clock position is different (I like the fake one better)
- Second hand and red hand are thicker
