As an aside - I always wondered how the Invisible Man was supposed to see.

The eyes work by using (absorbing) light energy to trigger neuron signalling to the brain. If light is travelling right THROUGH (or being bent around) the retinas, it isn't being absorbed, so isn't triggering the nerves.

Therefore the Invisible Man would be blind!

For a while a few years ago, when I was going through a mental breakdown, I was convinced I was in some kind of Truman Show or solipsistic world - EXCEPT, I didn't think that I was the 'star'.

I believed that I was an unknowing bit-actor in someone else's reality-show universe. My therapist had a field-day going through that one!

No one has actually read the article properly.

He hasn't implanted magnets beneath his skin, he's put in four TRANS-dermal implants (also known as single-point piercings) which have removable magnet caps. The implant has a 'foot' which is embedded under the skin, and a 'post' which extends through the skin and supports a cap, which screws into the post.

The magnets are ON TOP of his skin and are REMOVABLE. The actual implant itself, remains in the skin, but when the caps are removed, are very inconspicuous.

As for 'he can never have a CAT or PET scan' - rubbish. The magnets are removable. The implants are medical-grade titanium. These are perfectly inert. I myself went through an MRI machine with five of these implants in my arm. Absolutely no problems. The only issue is that it may distort the image slightly, if you're looking at an area close to the piercing.

Everyone quit bitching about things you don't understand. Or at least read the article and watch the video before you comment.

Google thinks I am a male aged 18-24 who likes motorbikes, painting and mobile phone ringtones.

I am actually a female aged 26 who likes sci-fi, rock music, gadgets and medical history. I thought my net use reflected these interests pretty well!

Interesting! I wonder what's in my browsing history that got it so confused? I have no idea where it got motorbikes and ringtones from, as I'm not the slightest bit interested in either, and have never browsed any related sites.
