I love them all but I would have to say Elvis. He was there for and instrumental in the early evolution of rock n' roll. Maybe MJ can catch up over time, but Elvis is such an iconic image in so many cultures around the world. They were all influential in their own way, unfortunately MJ's troubles have altered the way much of the world views him.
I'm not sure why people find it so hard to believe that someone who suffered from clinical depression, like Kurt Cobain, would have killed themselves. The conspiracy theories are ridiculous. While suicide may seem to the rest of the world like a selfish act, the person committing suicide often feels that the world will be a better place without them. I imagine that Kurt was so incapacitated by his depression that he felt he was negatively affecting those around him, including his daughter. I'm sure his daughter feels differently, but it's something she will have to make peace with.
I never saw one here (Boston) until about 5 years ago and now I see them about once a week. Not sure how many squirrels I see in a week. Ten thousand seems like a lot. They don't seem to be as black as the one in the photo. More of a very dark brown.
My sister-in-law calls it The Taking Boy instead of The Giving Tree and I have to agree. Uncle Shelby's ABZ's is definitely my favorite. Brilliant and hilarious.
My husband has taken at least one picture of our kids (now 9 and 6) every day of their lives since birth and posted them to the web. They are not this type of straight on mugshot type photos but a documentation of their lives. Not only does it show their growth and change over the years but it also shows my husband's growth as a photographer. What started out as snapshots have progressed into something more. He is now a successful professional photographer and my kids love to look back at their lives.
It seems like Liana Maeby would qualify as an NPR caliber name as it is.
They must have different definitions of those words than I do in relation to clothing.
I once knew a guy named Richard Painter. He changed it by taking his middle name and his wife's last name.
