THANK YOU for this post... I have been wondering for weeks whether this NASTY flu that has hit everyone I know around the country is newsworthy. I have not been to a doctor for an illness related visit in at least 10 years (easily) and 4 days into this illness I went. So many people have it turn into pneumonia and other things. It took weeks to be fully over it.

So do most people not stop to think for a second just what the hell this material is made of? It seems freaky, like it could leach chemicals, since it is so flexible.

Is this anything like sucking the chrome off a trailer hitch?
