If you drag your mouse through the video, there is a frame that shows up with the smiley face alone. The frame goes by too quickly for our minds to register it appeared, but it recognizes it and might even influence ourselves to unconsciously select it. It's based on a psychology experiment previously done, but I can't recall exactly how it went.
