Mid summer, bright sun -- temperatures at noon go slightly above feezing. Duh.. snow melts. Satellite flys over and looks at the surface of the ice (not the 1000 feet of glacier, but the top 1/10th of a centimeter). Sees water.. Oh wow.. melted ice!!

2 days later, daytime temperatures at noon fall below freezing.. satellite sees frozen water. Record breaking snow fall!!

I've got to agree.. Poor choice of "neat" article -- rather political and without research or balancing information. Rather biased from a bit of research into the topic.

While the numbers of wild turkeys has been increasing, as of around 1969 there were around 1.15 Million in the United States as per http://www.wildturkeyzone.com/wildturkey/population.htm

Now, there were some states with populations that low -- but not as a country wide population.
