I don't think the poll is properly representative of the facts. It's not about the vet going "against the owner's wishes" it's about the vet defrauding the owner. Theft is theft and that's what this vet is guilty of.

And let's be clear, it's a hard decision for any owner to make to have their pet euthanised and then they find out that not only did the professional they placed their trust in lie to them about the prospects of their beloved pet's chances of survival and a decent quality of life, he takes their money under false pretenses! It's an appalling abuse of trust.

Not being an American but having watched a couple of games and being an avid rugby fan, I think that the use of so much protective equipment in American football gives the players a false sense of security and leads them to be more reckless and to launch themselves into tackles they would otherwise avoid. More and more studies are being published that show that early-onset dementia is linked to playing sports such as rugby and American football, at higher rates than found among amateur boxers.

People will continue to play both sports but perhaps thought should be given to informing potential players of the real risks of their chosen game.

The UK is a secular society which is becoming evermore atheistic. We find public displays of religiosity tasteless and vulgar; no politician *ever* mentions religion or their belief in an imaginary friend precisely because they know it's a vote-loser.

The removal of a book of Bronze Age fairy tales, written by ignorant, uncivilised savages, from hotel rooms is just another reflection of the growing desire the country has to throw off the shackles of a demonstrably ridiculous Middle Eastern death cult, and embrace rationality and reality.

Hopefully in the not too distant future, the bible and all other "holy" books will only be able to be found as exhibits in anthropological displays in museums, as an embarrassing reminder of mankind's childish stupidity.

Anthropogenic climate change deniers don't "simply have a difference of opinion", they deny facts and evidence and accuse scientists all around the world of lying. Tell the members of the 32 premier academies of science, including the US National Academy of Sciences and the UK Royal Society, that "global warming" is a hoax; explain to the most eminent scientists in the world that they don't know how science works, how evidence is gathered and evaluated and how conclusions are drawn.

Anthropogenic climate change is a fact, end of story. And the only hypocrites in this "debate" are those who deny the science of climate change why continuing to reap the benefits of everything else science has provided us with. Rank hypocrites, brainwashed by multinational oil companies.

So much ignorance in one small place. What next? Evolution is "just a theory"? Thumbs up for geocentrism? The Earth is flat, perhaps? No men on the moon, it's a hoax! There was too a global flood and Noah actually existed. Adam and Eve were real and T.Rex ate cabbages.

Fictional christ on a bike, get an education.
