I remember the day because I had just come back from a job interview; on the train home my father phoned from Eire and said "Well..?" and I told him what questions were asked, how I felt I'd done etc. He paused and said "not about that, about the news".. and I was somewhat annoyed he didn't care but equally confused because living in Northern Ireland it wasn't really mentioned and I'd gone my whole day without having heard of the bombings. Though that being said, with the US funding terrorists in Northern Ireland for years, though it was breaking news, it equally wasn't a huge surprise and didn't dominate the news for long.

It's relatively easy to freeze someone, however thawing them's a different matter. Ice crystals form as they're warmed and rupture the sell membrane leaving them even more dead than before.

I object to people using bi-weekly as it could be understood to mean "twice per week" or "once every two weeks". Look at biannual for instance, that means occurring twice a year. Fortnightly however removes that ambiguity.
