My mum works in the town where Hot Fuzz was shot, and we walk past the church where the reporter was spattered everytime we go there :) Plus, in a lot of the shops, there are signs sayin "Hot Fuzz was shot here".
Just to point out, that a lot of bus companies give out free newspapers over here. Not just in London. I'm near the middle of the country and I'm still getting my crappy free newspaper every bus ride!
The pain you would feel whilst doing that I think would prevent you, or at least stop whilst doing it, from "acting insane". Also, the prison officer found him. If he wanted attention he would have done it in front of people.
I was given independance throughout my life, my room was my own, anything private was nothing to do with my parents. My parents were totally shocked when I told them a friends' parents had read her diary.
I think giving me my freedom was the best gift they could give me. Knowing I would make my own mistakes taught me to be careful, knowing I could always go back to them, however, if it got too bad made me feel safe.
This is just teaching kids that not only do their parents not trust them, but they cannot make their own experiences.
I have an intense fear of crane flies (daddy long legs that fly), it's called tipulophobia. And just finding that out has started my heart racing.
I once had a look at how you desensitize (sp?) yourself to them but had a full blown panic attack just reading the instructions, so I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon!
@ ray ray- yes it was. Here in England, me and my boyfriend we exceedingly happy that Obama got it (damnations- he's gonna look so damn cool next to our Prime Minister!). Also, I'd like to congratulate those who voted for Obama, as it really was a vote that didn't just change your country, but changed the world. My expectations of America have gone up. Good for you all.
When I went to the Taj Mahal we were told a legend that the Shah had all the workers hands cut off so they'd never be able to build another monument as beautiful. But we were also told that he had commission that one for his wife when she died, and he wanted another, exacty the same, in black, directly opposite.
Taunton's round the corner from me. And although this is a lovely story, apart from Weston-Super-Mare's pier burning down, this is probably the most interesting story this area's had this summer.
This is great. I was fortunate enough to go to India and trek some of the Himilayan mountains. We were also accompanied by some students of our twinned school and were able, through them, to talk to some of the villagers nearby where we were camped. A couple of the women told us they only see their husbands and sons about 2-3 times a year as they worked in the nearest city which was so far away they wouldn't have time to go home and see their families on their days off. It was very sad to hear, and so I really hope he's able to raise enough money to help families stay together and just work off the land.
It's also such a beautiful place, I'm very jealous he get's to travel across the entire range. :)
I'm moving to America.

I wanna see another episode!
