Here in Singapore there's an Indian restaurant run by volunteers that has the same 'pay what you want' concept.They've been around for 20 years or so, and the food is excellent.

Back in uni, as a typical college kid, I consumed quite a lot of instant noodles (or ramen, as you call it). When I get tired of the same old noodles in soup, I make it into a noodle pancake. Boil the noodles al dente (w/out the flavorings), drain, mix with an egg and the flavorings, pour into frying pan. Voila! Yummy hi-sodium pizza/pancake!

Another favorite is to use ramen as substitute for macaroni in a gratin. Or quail eggs covered in ramen & egg balls. I've even rolled up boiled ramen with a meaty centre in banana leaves and steam them. Yum!

I remember this as a Nintendo Game & Watch starring Mickey Mouse :) I had a Popeye, too. If I'm remember correctly Popeye had to row in a small boat and catch cans of spinach. That's more than 20 years back!

It's Indonesian - I actually visited the food court a year back or so. if my memory serves me correctly it's located just outside Jakarta. I remember snapping a pic with my phonecam but I wasn't a Neatorama reader yet!
