In Europe we don't really have small bills like the dollar bill, so it's mostly coins :-)
Debit and credit cards are widely used in Finland, so I really haven't used much cash at all in the last few years. It's very difficult to find a place in (southern) Finland where a debit card isn't accepted. We also don't have the US tipping culture here, so there's really no need to carry cash with you. Well, maybe coins for vending machines, but that's about it.
So, it's a dying craft over here! :-)

I love riding in the winter. Just put on some more clothes and studded tyres and that's it. Pedalling keeps you warm, you know :-)
Personally I quit when it gets under -15 degrees Celsius, but many people don't... Some freehubs will start freezing after that though, and some suspension parts might start acting weird, so the bike may require some adjustments.
P.S. I'm from Finland :-)

Many people seem think that you can't ride a bike in snow, but hard-packed snow is my second favorite surface to ride my mountain bike on (after dry, rocky trails). It smooths out the impossible parts and creates new lines. Drifting is über-fun, random jumps appear all over the place and falling down usually doesn't hurt quite as much :-) And Nokian's "Freddie's Revenz" studded tyres get traction even on smooth ice.
Deep fresh powder snow will stop you like superglue, though :-(

...hmm perhaps actually not every single one of these, but many and there's plenty of other great stuff :-)

I never realised what a riot food shopping in Finland must be for foreigners before reading Neatorama :-)

Max Payne's face is actually a guy from the developer studio AFAIK :-)
There are a lot of cases like these (especially in 8/16-bit games), but these ones are bad examples... Many games in the eighties featured complete movie poster ripoffs as their title/loading screens for example :-)

Ã…ke Blomqvist FTW! :-D
Just some background info for you non-finns out there ;-) That's a capture from an old VHS tape from the seventies. It's one tape in a series of dance instruction tapes Ã…ke Blomqvist did back then. He has an old and respected dance school, but as you can see, he mostly teaches less "groovy" ways of dancing... :-)
Ã…ke is some sort of a legend over here. When you need a dance instructor, you call Ã…ke! And even though I'm sure he doesn't teach much himself anymore, his school is still very much operational. Right over here: http://www.tanssikoulublomqvist.fi/
Damn, it seems that they're actually still selling that video :-D
That song is by a german band though AFAIK.

The main reason why Neo-Geo wasn't successful was the price of the console and the absolutely ridiculous prices of the game cartridges. This is because the home Neo-Geo console was identical to the arcade Neo-Geo cabinets and the games were also perfect arcade quality (with some home console specific changes). Back in the day full arcade quality games at home was simply unheard of (unlike now), but this made the games too expensive.
