@Sunny

I would have thought that the apostrophe before the word "Teen" is perfectly okay if the word isn't in common usage the way it is in the USA (it's not that common in the UK yet) today. 'Teen is short for sixteen (or seventeen, or eighteen, etc).

What is offensive is the capitalisation. If it is an abbreviation of sixteen it should be a lower case "t". But, it is in a heading so I'm not sure if you should apply grammar too stringently.

@amanderpanderer

Does that mean I can get a girl scout uniform for my girlfriend (who no longer has hers) in the states? Is that wrong?

Yeah, let's throw out years of scientific research and consensus, millions of hours of careful testing and observation and the accumulated knowledge of most of the best thinkers the human race has yet to produce because Laudenum was a product that was rushed to market before people knew what it would actually do to your health.

You know, "Scientists" also want you to think that fire is hot. Don't believe a word of it.

I can wiggle my ears and raise either eyebrow. My girlfriend can touch the tip of her tongue to both her nose and chin (score!). Not sure about the tongue "tricks" though. I shall show her the video tonight though.

No, you misunderstand me, ironically. I was wondering why he spent any of his time on a Saturday just "staring out the window" rather than going to spend time with a real person.

I agree about not becoming a slave to one's communication devices. I'm just amazed anyone does even to the extent that he hs.

@Nastia

The lack of security made you nervous? Of what, Terrorism?

Is this is common reaction? If it is then it really seems like they've got you whipped up into paranoia over in the "Excited States".

I don't wish to sound like I'm poking fun. Genunine interest and concern over here.

Before we rush to blame hormones in food it should be noted that the above linked study has this conclusion:

"Studies done so far do not provide evidence to state that hormone residues in meat or dairy products cause any human health effects. However, a conclusion on lack of human health effect can only be made after large-scale studies compare the health of people who eat meat or dairy products from hormone-treated animals, to people who eat a similar diet, but from untreated animals."

So, as yet, any link between breast size (or any other phsiological phenomona) in humans and hormones present in food is supposition. There is no decent evidence.

However, despite the obviously harrowing experiences of those with huge boobs, I can't help but welcome this trend with open arms. Even if I can't link my hands around the back of it. :D

I've seen them live at festivals several times now and they always steal the show. I even bought my girlfriend a Ukelele from the stall that follows them around.

Arrrgggghhh! Who's doing that to that limited edition collectable?! I haven't even taken mine out the box (he guards my Turntables, much to my Girlfriends chagrin :D )!

Firstly, you do not have nearly enough information to declare that she was raised with no "discipline, structure or stability". The Daily Mail is a hateful, reactionary, right-wing rag with all the journalistic integrity of a KKK pamphlet edited by Anne Coulter. Just look at the editorial voice of this piece:

"But on the other, the couple seem strangely reluctant to accept any responsibility for what is happening to their daughter, blaming "society" instead."

"Alison's description is heartbreakingly naive."

I wouldn't trust a word that it prints. I hate it even being linked to.

Secondly, you are making a ridiculous slippery slope argument by saying that he's going to knock her up a few times and then leave her. You know nothing of his character or the nature of their relationship. I was having sex at her age and it never did me any harm. Granted not with any 36 year olds (not for lack of trying) but as I'm a guy I don't suppose you would apply the same judgement if I had.

I feel that the parents have done exactly the most resposible thing in letting him stay with them. They can be there if anything does go wrong with the relationship and get to know him. He may be a son-in-law some day. Not only that but it's better than her running away to be with him. Maybe it's a mistake on her part but she should be able to make her own decision on that. It's going to be made all the easier with her family around her for support.

Besides, have you considered that they might just be in love?
