Happy is not the word for what I feel about my kids. It is more of a deep joy. And there is the whole sense of wonder watching them grow up, enjoying them as they change and develop into their own person.

Maybe I would have been happier without them, but I don't think so. I think most parents probably feel about the same, if they have put much time and effort into their child's development.

To each their own, but they have helped make me who I am today as well, and I'm very grateful for having them.

We saw the Final Fantasy music performed by the San Diego Symphony at Comicon. The kids loved it. They also got to see the LOTR music performed another year, and Star Wars one year.

The music IS good on its own. Nothing campy about it.

Well, nature discriminated against me, since it's physically impossible for me to get my nails that long before they break or split, and I refuse to pay for those damned uncomfortable fake ones. So I'm sick of seeing them promoted as something women "must" have, and the idea that not catering to them is misogynist somehow.

One fashion style I really really could do without, this idea that we're supposed to have long nails....

Just a note to all the web site designers and wordpress folk, light, small text is really tough for us older folks to read sometimes. Yes, it's a pretty look, but hard on older or vision impaired eyes. The light blue text in the new format is not as good as the old format.

No. It's equivalent to not reading the ads in your newspaper.
