It happens in the U.S. too. Businesses run by immigrants employ family or other immigrants for little to no money, don't pay most taxes, work for cash, illegally live in their businesses, etc.

He's British. They take acting jobs because they're offered and they pay the bills. They usually go to an art or drama school and get a degree, and then they approach it as anyone else who goes to school and gets a degree: it's a job/career and that's how you make your living. Fame just means they get paid better and can be a bit picky about the roles they take.

I saw another parking video where they finally made the driver get out and a passerby parked the car for her.

We wouldn't want to hurt the $1M+ the CEO is being paid:

Subminimum wages to the disabled they're supposed to help.

They can be gratingly annoying, but this was years ago when vegans hadn't built up enough numbers to throw self-righteous hissy fits.

I went to a restaurant one time with a vegan friend, after we were assured by phone that they had vegan choices. We perused the menu, then my friend questioned the server. It turned out the restaurant considered the food vegetarian if it didn't have meat in it, as several of the supposedly vegetarian dishes were made with animal stock. The owner seemed surprised when we complained.

You, you bas****s! That's the pot my many times great-grandmother Mehitabel* died in. *sob* Her sister Hepzibah* came rushing into the kitchen with her arms full of baskets of toads and newts, wait, I mean, carrots and cabbage, and knocked Mehitabel into the, erm, stew, yes, stew she was stirring. I'm going to go mourn for a bit now. Oh, the cruelty.
*I actually do have some ancestors named Mehitabel and Hepzibah. We do not discuss their demises.

Yes, everyone will be affected, despite what they think. It isn't just government employees, but what those employees do that will be affected, and sooner or later everyone has something they need from the federal government.

This is a Sears and a FedEx Ground fail. I ordered some shirts for my son from Sears' site. Two were being delivered from Kmart and two from Sears, although the distribution center was the same. I never got any of them. Two of them were apparently never sent.
The other two were sent out, but somehow FedEx Ground couldn't find the tallest building on the street, the same building where we daily receive and send large numbers of FedEx packages, but instead of contacting me, they sent them back to Sears.
I had sent multiple emails and made multiple calls to Sears, and dealing with their call system is one of the worst. Getting through to a human is nearly impossible, and when I did several of the reps spoke English so poorly that what should have taken 5-10 minutes would take 20 or more (congratulations, Sears, by offshoring your call center you saved enough money to pay for the extended calls on your 800 number).
My last call involved me trying to get the rest of the refund I was owed. The FedEx records had the DC listed as the delivery address. The rep said it was showing as delivered to me. I said that if he pulled up google maps he would see that the delivery address was 2,000 miles from me. They finally credited the amount.
This ridiculous mess over four shirts took almost two months to settle.
When I recently was in a Sears store and they were out of an item, they suggested I order it online. Yeah, no thanks to that suggestion.

You should really use the egg(s). My own recipe uses 1 egg per 8 oz. Ricotta. The egg keeps the ricotta moist and creamy.

Those Costco delivery trucks are filled at business Costcos. You can find information about them at the Costco website; they're in even fewer states than Costco retail. They carry items geared towards small businesses such as restaurants, motels, and convenience stores. No books, dvds, clothing or similar. They carry a lot of bulk meat (seriously, an entire lamb hanging in the freezer section), fruits and vegetables, aisle after aisle of beverages and snack foods, as well as a much greater range of frozen restaurant bulk foods and desserts. I can buy all types of cooking and kitchen supplies. They carry the full range of Torani syrups. It's a great place to pick up office supplies (back to school savings) and cleaning supplies; I love my little theater lobby broom and standing dustpan.
People buy more, commonly using the giant, flatbed carts, but there are usually very few customers. They're open only during the day, with the picking crews working nights. I love it because I can run in and get out for $50 when I only need a few items.

I agree with Miss Cellania, the seniors that may be ticked off now will be laughing about it at a reunion.

This always bugged me about the vampires on Buffy. Suck on a victim's neck for five seconds and they were dead.
