Having been a teenager then, I can say that I don't believe I ever saw anyone wearing their hair, except row 3, pictures 1 and 3 from the left. Most of the guys I was in schooll with wore variations on surfer hair: partially over the forehead, covering about half the ear or so, and mid-neck in back. Those are definitely photos from a hair styles magazine or book. If you watch the video, the second photo, the one with a pipe, is similar, but needs to be roughed up a bit.
From left field, but Herger/Joyous, from the 13th Warrior. He was a Viking, blond, intelligent (spoke Greek), wily (tricked a much bigger warrior into a duel, then killed him; survived the movie), friendly, courteous, absolute joy in life. And Dennis Storhøi played him perfectly.
Why does your refrigerator need an internet connection? All you're doing is adding something else to be hacked, and I wouldn't want to come home to find my freezer turned off and everything in my refrigerator frozen.
20 years. But I'm older, so I have a lot of pre-computer/smartphone knowledge, I was a girl scout, my family were avid campers, and I lived in the sticks for several years. My age will physically limit me, but my knowledge will help pull me through, plus I've got kids, which has got to be a major part of the will to survive.
It's not clear that Mark is guilty, because it just says that he was holding the skillet in his left hand, flipping pancakes. It doesn't make clear that he wasn't using a spatula with his right hand. I'm right-handed, so I'll hold the pan with my left hand, and the implement with my right. If it had made clear that Mark was flipping the pancakes with just the pan, it would have been clearer.
My kids got me started watching Adventure Time. Now it's our weekly show that we all watch together.
If you're not watching it, please give it a try, although at this point the mythology is getting deep. The basic story is that 1,000 years before there was an apocalyptic event. Two people survive from that time: Marceline, the vampire queen (the little girl sewing the eye on her doll in the link), and the Ice King, whose real name is Simon. Simon rescued Marceline, who was the child of a demon (who has also survived the apocalypse, but he only shows up now and then), and discovered a magic crown in their wanderings. Simon used this crown to prevent the complete destruction of the world, and it warped him into the Ice King, who is really more sad and messed up than evil.
After this apocalypse, certain objects gained sentience. One of these objects became Princess Bubblegum, who is quite intelligent and developed the Candy Kingdom of creatures through science. Finn, who is about 13, is the only known human (his origins are still not clear), although a human woman appears later in the show for a couple of episodes, but then goes on her way. Jake the dog is Finn's adoptive brother.
Finn loves to go adventuring with Jake, and is a bit of a hero. There are many kingdoms with many princesses, and all types of interesting characters.
