I once met a woman (here in the U.S.) who got ovarian cancer. One of her eggs was saved before her ovaries were removed, and it was fertilized by her husband's sperm and then implanted in her mother's uterus (her mother had to undergo some hormonal treatments to halt menopause etc.). So this was a real case of a woman giving birth to her own grandchild.

The average bed is home to about 1.5 million dust mites. (Incidentally, it is thought that making your bed up nice and neat allows the dust mites to flourish in their warm, dark lair; whereas leaving your bedding flapped open wide makes them die of exposure -- the only argument against making my bed I need.)
