Rubbish. My wife was so nauseated with "morning" sickness during pregnancy that the only thing she could keep down was Ensure - chocolate flavor. She can't stand the sight of the stuff now. Anyway, our children enjoy a wide variety of foods. Start 'em young on what you want them to eat and they will develop a taste for what they are given.
I know two people whose cars were hit by deer; both on the front passenger side fender; apparently in an attempt to knock the predator off his pursuit.
My wife handled all the arrangements for our wedding and spent @ $5,000. We married in a Georgian church and had the reception in a family house. The musicians for the wedding were friends - violin, cello and flute - and most of the food was made by family and friends. It was much like the weddings of her youth my grandmother described: very simple community efforts. While we certainly thought of it as a very special day, we didn't insist that it be perfect or enchanting or any of those things wedding planners use to separate their clients from their money. We have very fond memories of our wedding day. Weddings have become an industry and the victims are the brides and to a somewhat lesser extent the grooms. There is a great deal of emphasis on the wedding as a social event rather than a ceremony for the couple mostly, I think, for the purpose of selling services. My wife has helped coordinate a number of weddings and she says one of her biggest priorities is to keep the bride from crying.
"Even more inexplicably it’s not uncommon to see two engines being used to transport one freight car. This level of inefficiency is simply insane. The Island of Sodor isn’t that big. There’s just no reason why one engine can’t be used to haul multiple cars."
That's easy; all the engines are very eager to be useful. Usefulness is a major concern on the island of Sodor.
If you have the version narrated by Ringo Starr Sir Toppam Hat is called the Fat Controller, so in Ringo's Sodor it's not all riches and glory for the boss. My wife can't stand Alec Baldwin, so it was Ringo or no Thomas for the children. :-)
I have to agree with Jeff. Children's behavior isn't unpredictable; without the proper parental influence children will be badly behaved.

It makes you wonder where Roman had his bachelor party.
Seriously, as far as I can tell, it's had zero effect on the attitudes of my children.
