Poor piggie and shame on that pet owner. The Guinea pig is clearly distressed, that cry it made is one of fear, and obviously can't get down because they're not climbers. Lucky the cat didn't actually bite into him.

A plumber and friend who works cleaning out sewers both once told me the same sage advice about things that should be flushed: human waste and septic safe toilet paper (even in a city sewer system) and nothing else. The number of things people flush or pour down the drains other than those two wreaks havoc on not only their sewer connection but the system as a whole. Some of the worst things people flush that cause backups: wipes and condoms. There's also a lot of people who pour grease down their drains which causes all sorts of backups and other issues.

And I totally agree about the bidets! I really want one of those fancy Japanese toilet seats after visiting Japan.

Makes me externally grateful I now work for home.

Done, done and done. Let me say Instagram's upload and cropping feature on the app leave a ton to be deseried. Couldn't resist uploading Halloween pics. This year's not included but past ones.

I've always had great service from Apple. It's one of the main reasons I prefer their products. The employees listen and are there to help you as well as fix your problem ASAP and correctly.

On the other end of the spectrum, I always had awful support with Dell and even calling from a business with service contracts. The worst was the time I spent four hours talking to three different techs trying to convince them they had a mistake on THEIR END. They mis -matched a product with a replacement part, wrong size for an all in one monitor and pc stand, and they claimed they couldn't just send me a new monitor just the same wrong sized AIO part that the pc wouldn't fit into. Never managed to get the correct part.

How about people stop ruining records, unless they're really really horribly scratched and beyond playability or godawful music.

When I cancelled my satellite subscription it took me an hour of saying "No, I just want to cancel it." before I finally got to the point I was actually cancelling the account.
Sat co: "Well why do you want to cancel it?"
Me: "I don't watch anything except for one show and I'm going to put the amount of money I save into paying for a Y mempership, which is the same cost, instead of sitting on my ass in front of the tv rotting my brain, getting fat and paying for commercials. Is that a sufficient answer for you?"
Sat co: "I'll get that cancelled for you right away."

Thus proving that the penny is a useless denomination in cash transactions.

Don't tempt me! I could probably kayak home from my office if I were so inclined.

Had a similiar experience in Japan. My husband and I are American (caucasian) do not speak Japanese, but were traveling with two people who spoke Japanese but are American, not of asian decent.) All four of us were looking at a resturaunt menu sign outside, figured out the food sounded good and decided to go in and order. All of us pretty much knew what we wanted and we had two people who were fluent enough to order dinner. The waitress was insistent that we needed an English menu because none of us were Japanese. Our friends were a little offended because she didn't want to listen to them telling her we were fine without it. This was the one and only time anyone was even somewhat rude about it though.
Typically the waitstaff, and everyone else for that matter, were very helpful and accomodating even when we didn't have our Japanese speaking friends with us. After all, it's not too difficult to point at what you what you want politely, nod and say "hi" with a smile.
