I banned that stuff from my house years ago. It is showing up in receiving waters everywhere, and reducing the effectiveness of antibiotics. Don't use triclosan products - use alcohol rubs. Alcohol kills germs without antibiotics, and readily breaks down in the environment.

"Coney" has been a British dialect word for Rabbit forever. It's related to the Dutch word, but it's doubtful they woudl have re-derived it just to rename the island. Chances are there were still rabbits there.

That wasn't a swan dive, it was a duck jump.

Who is not chilled? I was just startled. Good thing it wasn't an ad for faggots in gravy.

Good grief. I'ts not "squash juice". "Squash" is just brit-speak for fruit juice. "Lemon squash". And when a brit has "marrow" for dinner, it's not out of a bone - it's squash.

The larger grocery stores here in Richmond, VA have British food sections. HP Sauce, lots of sweet biscuits, marmalades and jams, teas, Lyle's Golden Syrup and of all things, Heinz baked beans.

I squish them with a stick on my peach trees. But I see tents on wild cherry trees all around that I can't reach. I hate those bastids - they will strip evey leaf off a tree.

I thought Captain Nemo named his ship after the Chambered Nautilus - another cephalodod which actually lives and travels in its spiral shell. They are not closely related to the Paper Nautilus, and the latter's shell-shaped egg carrier evolved independently.

@Pam - You may want to apply Occam's Razor here. If you really want to know, read the article linked in the comment above.

Hogwash. The Bimini "road" has been explained, the explanation just isn't exciting enough for people. After all what do mere "geologists" know about rock formation?

He read it as "They here". Listen for yourself.
