@observer - No. They reproduce whatever voice they hear. So if it were a female voice, then the raven would have attempted to recreate the voice it hears.
I was looking for more information about this raven. It appears to maybe be a rehabilitated one. because it is illegal to keep them as pets, unless they have been injured and renamed, and cannot be release back into the wild.
those are not buildings on the right hand side. They are fishing boats. If you look to see his print titled "Fisherman at Teppozu" you can see the tops of the vessels are the same as what you are seeing on the right.
