Well, if you're going to build a great henge, why stop at one? Everyone loves henges.
I wonder if that's the one with the Pandorica under it?

It's sad enough that the nude human body in an innocent situation is considered obscene. But a fake body with no genitalia?...very very sad.
I'm sure if it were a violent, bloody and gore filled crime scene they'd be fine letting everyone have a look. Priorities are just mess up.

Actually I think Bill Gate's deal with the devil is keeping him alive. . . for now.

huh, what I'm really seeing is just how quickly he's aging. It's stressful being at the top.

Very cool piece but I can't help but be reminded that there is an entire generation coming up that has likely never used a real typewriter. I think alot of the coolness of this piece stems from our familiarity with the sound of a typewriter. What happens when that familiarity is lost?

Most of these designs are claustrophobic (which I am myself) and lend to total abuse. I fully agree that naps/mid day rests are key to staying productive but with these designs it's too easy to sleep through the day. However, not everyone can cat nap. For many a nap means 1-3 hours or sleep. What you really want to do is allow down time in the day.
I think having a rest areas available where you can nap, or meditate or decompress is key. Also flexible schedules or designated off hours works well too. Ways to play also motivate. A game of foosball or pool can energize too.

In my mind this was the dialog that went along with that:
Turtle: "For the love to god! Kill me!"
Cat : "Not right now"
Turtle: "I'm a turtle, look at me! Kill me!!"
Cat : "Suffer turtle. I'm out of here."
Turtle : "Come back here and whack me you bug eyed pussy!"

I'd say I agree but let's be realistic. When you're hungry, broke or some evil corporation shows up at your house with a dump truck full of money it's very hard to no turn them down for the sake of "not selling out".

$6,000 to have a permanent corporate logo on your body? He's selling himself very short...even if he's not a very good boxer.

Impressive. I love British quiz shows where they don't dumb down the questions. I don't think the average person would have gotten many (if any) of those.

ah, back in the days when you could blow up a children's character without catching grief.

The experiences thing works just fine in reality. It's how I and many people live. People have various metrics to gauge happiness, freedom and success. Some need objects like nice houses, a healthy nest egg, cars and such while others are more than happy to live like a pauper as long as their life, friends and experiences are worthwhile. Many people feel the stories and experiences we have are invaluable and live accordingly(although this story is rather extreme). It makes for an interesting life.
I'd have been happy with a used Honda for this trip but clearly, this guy found happiness in this car. To each, his or her own.

First of all, if you show up late to a flight (so late that they've filled stand-by) you've lost your right to get on that flight. Period. That is always in the fine print and if they let you on they are being nice. They aren't supposed to.
Second, when you fly stand-by you can be bumped UNTIL they give you a seat. Then you are guaranteed that seat. When she has that ticket it was her seat as a full passenger, not standby person.
Lastly, booting because someone needs extra space is completely out. Did he, in any way, pay for that seat? No. Did she in some way pay for standby? Yes. It's again his fault for not making his needs clear.
