Low blood sugar. Hypoglycemia attack caused by a combination of high metabolism and alcohol. Beer has sugar in it, however not enough sugar energy to process the alcohol. Other sugars in the body are then used, and for somebody with low blood sugar this is bad. This causes somebody with this condition to not only be intoxicated, however also basically have a diabetic attack.

I think that's what people mean when saying "low blood sugar".

Could very well be. Still doesn't mean that he isn't ridiculously intoxicated as well though.

This doesn't make any sense. Not that the method wouldn't work... but cocaine is not an opiate. Perhaps they meant heroine since they're doing tests on methadone users. ie, heroine and methodane are both opiates.

mojave is not locked up. go to the refueling guys in the office next to the tower and give tim ten bucks and he will gladly drive you around the apron for a bit. it's the worst kept secret in california.

Yet another completely bollocks website trying to sell stuff they do not own and that is available freely on the interweb. Hope your hard drives catch fire

this is so funny to me. I stayed at this hotel in 2002 for $88/night thinking that at that price it couldn't be 'too bad.' the lobby alone should have alerted me to my mistake. I had a hooker at my door in the middle of the night insisting I had called her (him?) and I should pay up and the shower only produced a very cold trickle of water. also yes on the sheets. that place was dirrrrrty.

butcha know what? I slept like a baby and made my job interview on time, so it was worth it.

it should be noted that tony's hair is a rug. he actually has dark, thinnish hair.

I know this because I had the dubious honor of meeting him at the chicago creative club gala.

May I second EinCT:
'Jim Lim' is just not thinking it through.
If Jesus Christ was a fraud, how did would he arrange the time and circumstances of his own birth?! His own parents, family, friends would also have to be lying, not to mention everyone he came into contact with who said he did miracles. This isn't like one guy came and duped everyone like the mormons have with Joseph Smith or the poor sods that followed Jim Jones.
Jim, you also didn't consider the obvious third option: What if Jesus said was true and he was who he said he was?
Well. In any case, my own personal fav hoax is Piltdown Man.
Brilliant.
Orson Well's radio show does not qualify as a hoax because the performance was not intended to fool people. They listened on the radio to what sounded like news people interrupting a music show. Those who didn't know the H. G. Wells story (it was adapted for the American audience) thought it was real and fled their homes in panic. This was before instant news so we can't be too harsh on these folks!

you guys have it so good.

here in london regular unleaded goes for 1.18 GBP per LITER at some stations. that's 4.47 GBP per gallon, which currently translates to 8.83 US dollars. this of course is before you drive into town and pay another 8 GBP congestion charge.

so stop whining. it's gonna get worse anyway.

Reminds of of another cool eye trick.

When I was a kid, we'd turn off all the lights and wait for our eyes to adjust. Then you set of a flash bulb. The entire room appears as an afterimage with perfect detail. Very neat.

I actually do think this is relatively plausible. she didn't want to go back to prison? not the first time I heard that.

of course it could have been something else, too.
but you'd actually have to convince me.

this reminds me of ted turner thinking skipping commercials was theft.

hey, I never agreed to commercials in the first place, you just pushed them onto me and now you're suprised I'm not sitting down to swallow and burp?

I use pith helmet, which has blocked 106,912 ads since I reinstalled my system last month.

and you know what? I love visiting sites like airliners.net, whose administrator makes a huge stink about people like me. to him, we're all freeloaders. not seeing his ads produces this glib grin on my face...
