Agreed with Miss C.

As I understand it, she ordered McNuggets, paid for the McNuggets, *then* was told they didn't have McNuggets. She asked for her money back and the cashier refused. That's theft.

As for calling 911, you have to understand that a lot of places no longer have a local police number. Where I live, I have to call 911 if I want to reach the police at all. I can't say the same about where this woman lives, but it's a definite possibility.

Incidentally, McDonald's has already apologized for this:

"Jaywalking?? That’s a stupid law anyway."

People's lives, as demonstrated in the article, can be endangered by not crossing at properly controlled and visible crosswalks. I see people on a daily basis running across streets, weaving between cars, against the light and 30 damn feet from the intersection's crosswalk, endangering themselves, the drivers and the kids they drag with them. I mean, seriously, I learned the proper way to cross a street in the 1st grade!

"But everyone jaywalks."

Just the kind of argument I'd expect from an 8-year-old. "But everybody does it!"

Sure, the guy was hurt, but the reason he was hurt was almost certainly because he was jaywalking in the first place. If the people he was helping cross the street in an illegal manner had been hurt, his punishment would have been far, far worse.

When did we start leaving the final period out of abbreviations? I've noticed this more and more lately.

As the photographer mentioned in his comments, the lens was not rotating during this shot. Light, however, would still bleed in every direction from the lighthouse and would appear very bright in every direction during a long exposure, accentuated by the fog. I imagine the separate beams we're seeing is due to the window frames.

100 meters of Photoshopping? What does that even mean? It was stitched together from multiple photos taken over several days, if that's what you're inferring, but that information has already been given.

And I fail to see how this was staged. Just a patient photographer selecting the best of the subjects he shot over three weeks. Ever people-watch? People are indeed this fascinating if you take a few minutes to look at them.

All the contentious naysayers who insist that everything's fake are really starting to turn me off to the Internet.

"If people didn’t want to shop at Walmart, they would not spread."

That is not entirely true. Many people would rather give their business to the so-called "mom and pop" shops, but such stores are, unfortunately, only open around 9-5, especially in smaller towns. People who work can't make it to those stores during those hours, so they're forced to do their shopping at Wal-Mart. Such is the reason Wal-Mart always does so well in small towns.

Sad thing is, "Mom and Pop" can't afford to stay open 24 hours in order to compete.

And once again, people misunderstand the situation because they refuse to read all the facts.

We aren't talking about dog-shooting patrols that go out and look for animals to cap indiscriminately. The city tries to capture them as they always have. They have simply set a policy that *allows* police officers to shoot a wild dog if the animal proves aggressive and potentially dangerous.

You also have to realize that we aren't just talking about domesticated dogs that have been abandoned. We're talking about the generations of feral offspring that have also quite possibly mated with the wild coyotes in the area.

FWIW, my parents live in Ferris, so I know of what I speak.

There I go again fact-checking after I click "Submit." The two rear wheels, it seems, actually aided in steering, so it would be fair to say it's a tricycle. It still fits into the whole silly giant-wheel concept, anyhow.

asdfafdgafsdg: The two rear wheels on that particular model were for stabilization at low speeds. Once the driver reached a higher speed, they would be raised, and the vehicle would travel on a single wheel. (Actually, I think I'll add that to the article.)

Incidentally, the one pictured is not actually the one-man war tank. Oddly, the picture on the cover didn't reflect what the article itself was about.

Oh, and thanks for posting my about my article! :)
