When I read about this this morning, made me think of WKRP and the turkeys.

Only WKRP was a TV show. Man, these donkey-droppers must be idiots.

Poor donkey.

Is no one here bothered by undressed mannequins? I am. Just because it's not a real person doesn't mean that it doesn't offend to see them undressed.

If the store is closed, I have no problem. But if the undressed mannequin is on display, it's reasonable to cover it up.

Like the bare-breasted yoghurt ads all over Europe, I don't want to have to see nakedness while I'm out in public places and I don't think that ignoring the children in our midst (who are also seeing it) is socially acceptable.

It's about modesty and what is socially appropriate. Barbie's can also be undressed but they aren't the size of mannequins and they aren't on display in public places.

Now, if you go to a beach in France and are scandalized by all the bare-breasted women, I would say that's life at French beaches, so what can you do? Just ignore it or go to another beach.

But a store window is not a place I want to expect to see anything or anyone undressed, thank you.

I don't like seeing thongs and butt cracks, either. Or triple DDD breasts in plain view at the mall because their owner only had some low-cut, skimpy wife-beater to wear. People have no self-awareness anymore, or no self-respect. Maybe both. And no respect for the people who come across them, for sure.

Why is it that scientists find that this is worth study? Anyone who has ever watched, say, puppies or kittens, knows that they play. Is it really worth spending money and careers looking for proof amongst the world's wild animals or non-domesticated animals?

For pete's sake, it doesn't take a genius to imagine that all baby mammals share a need to play, does it?

The INTENT behind the mutilation is what makes it horrible. If we circumcize baby boys, it's not to somehow impede their adult sex lives or mark them as mutilated. What hygiene issue is related to mutilation of female genitalia? NONE. When young girls and women are mutiliated, it IS about impeding her to live a normal life. Male circumcision does no such thing.

How can cutting her genitals NOT result in negative consequences? The male genital is exterior and mono-task and what is done is minimal and does not impede function. Female genitalia is multi-task and interior to the body, for the most part, and function is usually problematic for the rest of their lives. The girl/woman is forever scarred, unlike in male circumcision, as the ritual performed on females is rarely done with any semblance of concern for the victims' well-being and body image after the fact or for hygiene during the act.

I don't doubt that women who have never known anything BUT mutilation might well encourage the ritual but you will never convince me that performing it on young women, who are old enough to understand that pain is about to be forced on them, is anything less than cruel.

It was inspiring to the French and other Europeans in Casablanca (and at Rick's) who knew their own countries were occupied by the same German armies making life difficult in Africa. The Germans were Nationalists (Nazi) but somehow forgot that the countries they occupied did not belong to the Germans.

Odd, that.

Uh, he really didn't have it all figured out at all, did he? He didn't hear right about the mobile home... He used personal numbers as part of his guess... Yes, he had maybe studied up but it seems to me that luck had a part in his win nonetheless.

And if it were really that easy to ''break'' game shows this way, people would be doing it all the time.

The law that made working 35 hours the norm in France did NOT create jobs. That's what they SAID it would do. (I was living there when the Aubry Law was instaured.)

What it DID do was get a lot of young people spoiled, thinking that 35 hours a week was all they should ever have to work.

You don't need a law like this in the USA. If you want to work only part-time, you can, for the most part.

In France, on the other hand, if you WANT to work more hours in order to make money for a purchase, say, get a second job, you will find it difficult to do.

See them all the time in Hawaii. If you go to anyplace rainy, you can see rainbows very often. Hawaii is called the Rainbow State with reason.

A beautiful city has been totally ruined by all the freaks. I love Austin but why all the Left-overs from UT think that making Austin, the capital of Texas, into a place where ''the freakier the better'', I'll never understand.

Is this supposed to be some commentary about how all our presidents have been ham-eaters? Hmmm...

Suppose anyone nowadays can make silly things like this and call it art. Shame, that.
