I remember Ken and his brothers being the biggest pop group of the 70's with hits like One Bad Apple and Down By The Lazy River. His brother Donny was a huge teenage heartthrob.
Honorable mentions: 1. James Evans played by John Amos on Good Times. The final scene with his wife Florida (Esther Rolle) was quite dramatic.. 2. Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) on Dallas although the entire season turned out to be only a dream. 3. Chico (Freddie Prinze) from Chico and the Man was killed after Prinze committed suicide. In a touching scene, Jack Albertson who played Prinze's employer and friend, had to explain his death to Prinze's replacement after Albertson broke up Chico's guitar in a fit of anger over his death. 4. The one death that I personally think was addressed the best was on the show Scrubs (my favorite show). In an episode featuring Brendan Frasier as Dr. Cox's brother in law Ben who passes from Leukemia however he is still visually seen in each scene unknowing to viewers through Cox's imagination. It's only at the end of the show that his death becomes reality. VVERY WELL MADE. I highly recommend watching it if you get the chance...season 3 entitled My Screwup
Actually Tariq, I believe the only Christmas cartoon that doesn't mention Santa is The Little Drummer Boy. I thought maybe too is A Charlie Brown Christmas but then I remembered that Charlie's sister Sally has a scene where she has her brother write out her letter to Santa.
I always thought Stu died from a beating he and John took after John mouthed off to some "Teddy boys". Stu took some kicks to the head and was never the same.
When he gave Ringo's R&R HOF induction speech, Paul talked about the first time Ringo sat in with the group. Paul said once they started playing, they were so much better. He said he looked over at John and George and they all muttered "Fu_ _ing eh!!"
Very rare to find is the version of Hound Dog Elvis recorded where he changed the lyrics to "Well you never caught a rabbi and you ain't no friend of mine."
Never could fully understand the kamikaze concept. These guys were asked to give their lives for their country. I can't even get my son to mow the yard for his dad.
