How ironic that both Joe and Marilyn could have had anyone they wanted for a spouse, one that would have allowed their husband/wife to do anything they wanted and would have done anything they wanted them to do and yet they end up together with a marriage completely doomed.
Ernest Borgnine's strangest film has to be The Devil's Rain from 1975. He dons full Satan costume and makeup for this film and I have to say he looks pretty creepy...for a 70's flick anyway. It also starred John Travolta, William Shatner, Eddie Albert and Tom Skeritt. Here is the trailer... https://youtu.be/3cKDpLHPp7k
Comedian David Brenner used to ask a great question concerning the old Superman TV show.
David pointed out that after Superman rescued Lois Lane at the end of the show, the bad guys would shoot several bullets at him. The bullets bounced off him of course as we all remember. When the guns were empty, the crooks would throw their pistols at Superman's head.
Although I prefer AHDN because it was more Beatlemania-ish, I will say I really think the HELP! soundtrack is outstanding and shows the Beatles maturity in only one year. Songs like Help, Ticket to Ride, The Night Before, I Need You and You've Got To Hide Your Love Away are are a great bridge from the Moptops to the studio gems of Rubber Soul and Revolver.
Ironic that the voice over guy on a Beatles movie gets arrested for being a deserter right around the same time John and Yoko start their Vietnam war protests. And the guy's name was Pete...so I guess if you're named "Pete", you may start off with the Beatles but you won't end with them.

Although best known as the Skipper, my favorite Alan Hale role will always be Jack Larson from my favorite western film (and all time favorites) 1954's "Destry" starring Audie Murphy (not to be confused with Destry Rides Again starring James Stewart). Alan played a rough & tough cattle driver and was awesome!
John once said that of all the songs he had written, Run For Your Life was the one he wished he hadn't.. He said it was far too violent but added it described how he thought back then. It was acceptable for him to cheat on Cynthia but if she cheated on him....better run for your life little girl!
Dylan was quite surprised when the Beatles told him they had never tried marijuana before. He told John "But you sing 'It's such a feeling that my love I get high' in your song I Want To Hold Your Hand.".
John laughed and told him "The line is 'I can't hide'."

He always ducked.
Never hearing "expired" used in that manner before, I asked him "Well can't we just re-new her?"
That's the heart of a great, great man!
Rest in peace, Jerry. You will be missed.
