You either love him or hate him. Me? I love the guy and think he's one of Hollywood's best actors. My favorite Sheen role still to this day is is his portrayal of Rick "The Wild Thing" Vaughn in 1989's MAJOR LEAGUE. He owned the movie in my opinion. As Bob Uecker says in the movie: "Juuuust a bit outside". Happy birthday Charlie. You really are THE WILD THING!!! Great piece Eddie. Thanks!

I remember the hype surrounding TITNIC for months after it was released. The only other movie I saw that much hype about it was 1975's JAWS. Both lived up to it too and why they will always be two of Hollywood's biggest films. Great article Eddie!

One of m favorite scenes is Mal Evans as the swimmer in search of White Cliffs of Dover (if I remember right) in the icy water at first with John pointing him in the direction and then all 4 Beatles pointing him at the end of the movie on the beach when all the chaos was going on. Great movie! Not as good as AHDN but exceptional in it's own right, especially the music. Awesome post Eddie.

Happy Birthday Lucy!!!! At 103 you're now as old as William Frawley was when he did the show!!
Everybody has a personal I Love Lucy favorite. Mine is the one where Lucy and Ricky appear together on a radio quiz show. Lucy thinks she stole the answers to the questions they were to ask but the producers changed them at the last second so every answer was not only wrong but not even close.
Nice way to celebrate her birthday Eddie!

I've seen film clips of The Beatles arriving at Buckingham Palace to receive their MBEs. Never knew that was John's Rolls and the soon-to-be most famous psychedelic car of all time. Very cool article Eddie.

Great article Eddie. I'm a huge SNL fan and there were things there I didn't know. One of my favorite memories was taking the NBC Studios tour and going to the SNL studio. A lot of history passed before my eyes. Oh and Beth...yes Obama did say the famous phrase however he wasn't president yet. He was still a candidate. Ford was the actual president at the time.

That's a shocker. You would have thought The Duke would have been one of the first in line to enlist. What? Did he really think they'd put him in battle? He was more important to our country as an actor and leader of patriotism than he would have been pulling a trigger in real life. Ironic that he was the Man Who Shot Liberty Valance but not the Man who Shot for Liberty & Valor.

I second the HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULIE!! The man has more energy at 72 than I'll ever have. Nice story on YESTERDAY Eddie. One thing I didn't know was that Paul wrote it so much earlier than when it was released. I've always liked the song and used to think it was a wee bit over rated...that is untill I really listened to it closely when I heard an orquestra play just the melody. It truely is a very beautiful song. In fact, Paul ALWAYS includes it to this day in his concerts. He knows it's what everyone wants to hear. And not sure if you knew or not but when he performs it, he STILL uses the same guitar that he performed the song with on his classic 1965 performance with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show (did it solo). Makes it a point too to tell everyone. Keep the articles coming Eddie. Nice job!

Nice article Eddie. I never knew Clark Kent was based on actors Clark Gable and Kent Taylor. Better than a candy bar and cigarette I guess. And without a doubt you can see the strong resemblence to Harold Lloyd. Very cool info Edward! Keep em' coming!

Nice list Eddie. Have to agree with all of them, even Maggie Mae. You did however forget my all time favorite...America's "Whore With No Name"!! (See...I still got it!!).

Ah yes...George's little known trip to Benton, Illinois. This little diddy would later become perhaps the number one Beatle memory of all time filed under "IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN". Can you imagine casually talking with George about The Beatles and maybe taking a few guitar lessons or playing guitar with him? Oh my God man! I'm betting that the lost opportunities that the people who met George had haunt them to this very day. Think of all the missed opportunities for pictures, autographs, 8MM movies, etc that could have become famous and very, very valuable pieces of Beatles history!!! Too bad they're lost forever! Great topic Eddie. Keep up the great articles!

Nice piece Eddie. Reminds me of the old joke about the guy who goes to see his doctor and complains that all he hears in his head are Tom Jones songs. The doctor tells him he has "Tom Jones Disease". The man asks "Is it rare?" to which the doctor says "It's Not Unusual!!". Keep the article coming Eddie...they're great!

Ann Margaret would have tempted The Pope himself. How ironic that Margaret played a young teenager who gets to get a kiss from Conrad Birdie in one movie and then later steals the show from the REAL Conrad Birdie in another couple of years or so. Viva! Viva!! Las Vegas!!! Excellent piece Eddie. Maybe you could do a post on the silmilarities between Col. Parker and the song Money...LOL!!
