So for two tickets to the Ed Sullivan Show...answer this Beatles question: Who was at the same time the OLDEST and YOUNGEST Beatle? My good friend Rosie can tell you!!
A little disappointed Eddie...not ONE of the women in those pictures is barefoot and pregnant. Not ONE! I never knew women had been voting long before the 19th Amendment. Interesting. And not to be mean but ol' Louisa Swain looks like she died about 2 years before that photo was taken. YOWZA!
Ringo's song, Don't Pass Me By was actually written in 1962 but was never put on an album till The White Album. It was better suited for that one anyway as I can't imagine The Beatles playing it on the Ed Sullivan Show or at Shea Stadium. Weird song but so many from that album were.
Technically yes and no. Bango had a cold that day and stayed at the hotel. Ali joked: "I'm gonna squash Liston like an old rotten mango...the Mosquitos are here but where the hell's Bango".
In the movie "Ali" starring Will Smith, there is a scene in which a woman he is dating mentions him meeting The Beatles. He replied "Only one of them was smart though. The one with the glasses." referring to John Lennon. Makes me wonder now if Johns comeback to him about being dumb gained Ali's utmost respect. It likely did as not many would be bold enough to challenge Ali like that. He really was The Greatest (and so was John). Thanks Eddie.
I always thought that flowers represented a form of life for the deceased to enjoy, perhaps to help comfort the soul from being frightened. No matter the reason, it's a very respectful and colorful way to say goodbye. Interesting piece Eddie.
For those unaware, Francis Bavier was downright HOT in her younger days. See for yourself: https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=OIP.M016a257b80e3c833b037d7c98ed1c6feH0&pid=15.1
Mayberry is based on Andy's actual hometown, Mount Airy, N.C.I visited there about 10 years ago. Got a haircut at Floyd's Barbershop. The same barber that used to cut Andy's hair was still there. Visited the AG museum too. They have the actual Sheriff and Justice of the Peace plaques that were on the door to the sheriff's office. Pretty cool!
Thanks Tariq. I just watched it. You have to give the guy credit for having that much confidence in himself. Unfortunately confidence and common sense don't always go hand in hand.
THERE'S A REASON THEY CAME UP WITH THE ADVERTISING SLOGAN:
"AREN'T YOU GLAD YOU USE DIAL? DON'T YOU WISH EVERYBODY DID?"
