If you watch him closely, he jerks the bat perfectly to counter the forward momentum and causes it to spin in place briefly. Very well done stunt!

A similar stunt that's great for the summer, take a 12 ounce soda can and fill it about 4/5 full with water (for practicing, you WILL get wet while learning it) fling the can up in the air with just enough torque to make it spin twice before catching it, too slow/too fast of a spin and the trick won't work. Go on, practice. Now, once you've mastered it, go show off and get your friends to try it (Bonus points if they get coke all over themselves, stand back ;)

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I think this thing has a higher output that the old methods.

Heh, I used to know people who distilled moonshine this way.

Historians who challenge the traditionally accepted imagery of figures such as Martha make me think of the 'grace' scene in Talladega Nights. Not saying it's wrong, but I can imagine a similar argument breaking out at some formal party.

It has several advantages over treads, pontoons as mentioned before, but also, the crazy thing can move sideways. There are forklifts that use a variation of the screw drive design.

I find this one to just be funny. Yes it does point out a usability issue and the fact that the support person could just look up their password. I'm guessing it's some low security fire walled message board.

Look up vinegar boy on that website, a true classic.

Yeah, the line about a 6 year old playing Grand Theft Auto is a pretty good indicator of the parenting he's been given. Now if they'd let him play Gran Turismo instead he'd have known how to recover the swerve. (That's a joke btw). I have to wonder how on earth he was reaching the pedals. Was the car modified for disabled people with the hand-throttle?

And yes, my own six year old nephew plays GTA. I don't think much of my sister over things like that either. Kid's good at it though lol.

My UPS and FedEx comes in just fine, however my luck with USPS is less than encouraging. I remember getting a badly broken porcelain fountain for xmas a couple years back. Now, here's the thoughts that ran through my mind.

Oh, wow, I bought this exact fountain 3 months ago at Walmart... This fountain was produced in china, likely loaded via forklift into a warehouse, later moved again onto a train, then onto a ship, floated across the ocean, unloaded, transferred onto another train, then later a truck and then the Walmart warehouse before being handled again and placed on the shelf, without the slightest bit of damage. Mail it through US post from one side of Texas to the other in that exact same packaging however, and they tell you the 4 inches of Styrofoam isn't enough protection....

Ok, this finally shifted my viewpoint, I like Texas better than California. Having lived in both, it was actually a hard choice up until now. Texas has a law that states you 'must' stop and render assistance.
