Seredim: Agreed. I imagine it will be awesome if they build a bridge on top of a dam, and let just a little bit of water to spill at the top to form a waterfall. Now that would be eco-friendly. (Alright, I'm now patenting the idea.)
And yes, only if the Brooklyn waterfalls are slightly more overwhelming like this.
Most commenters seem to assume that cops must be the bullies while old people must be innocent... Who knows how often the ball is actually kicked into her garden? It is a neighbor compromise, right? While the teenagers and the old lady should talk this out, it seems that neither party wants a compromise and the old lady decides to take the wrong action by confiscating the ball. While it is hardly necessary for the police to come over, and since we did not if the situation escalated to the level of domestic disturbance, we cannot say the police should not take arrest of her.
(P.S. We have an elderly neighbor who cannot take the slightest amount of noise. While we respected that, there is also a reasonable limit of how quiet we can go.)
I'd be happy to see this site free of any political agenda as well, unlike sites like BoingBoing. (OT: BoingBoing is ironic and disappointing in its own way that they advocate against censorship but they have their own post-deleting and de-vowelizing moderators.)
I do not mind cleaning up of trolls - many blogs desperately need that scrubbing like a dirty suburban pub! The climate here is generally calm and nice, and that's why I would read the posts on this site. Great job!

That shows how some (most) graffiti taggers writes messages in public trying to be clever without a bit of research. That's more about ego than truth.
They are going to clean it for opening on Oct 31, ironically. I guess at least the ceremony can be used to diss how stupid some kids are.
