I have a BS and MS in Ecology and Botany respectively which many may say are "useless" degrees and my career path has certainly gone in a different direction (I am an industrial hygienist) than I intended but much of what I learned is still applicable in my workday and is still a very large interest for me in my personal life.

We can certainly do away with degrees like theology or philosophy but doing away with the sciences is only going to get them in trouble down the road.

Most dogs that have been bred to have flat noses have serious issues with respiratory conditions and shallow eye orbitals. My brother has a pug and it's eyes pop out of the socket every once in a while and you have to push it back in again. I almost vomited the first time I saw it.

I would never own a pure bred or a dog that has been selectively bred for one trait like size (great dane-chihuahua). Individual dogs may be lucky and not have issue with their joints or breathing but in the long run these dogs are ticking time bombs of bad genes.

I have always and will always get the muttiest mutts I can find.

I forsee this causing horrible headaches as your eyes have to constantly refocus between the pixels in the lens and the read world beyond.
