I use to work at a recycling center and we had a guy grab a bunch of cash and run onto the roof of the building when we gave chase. He ended up falling through the roof (it was fiberglass) and fell 10 feet into a large metal dumpster full of broken and unbroken glass bottles. Same thing happened to me in college. It was the end of the semester and I emptied out my college bank account and headed home for the summer. Well I neglected to take into account a check I still had outstanding and accumulated overdraft fines everyday for 3 months and when I got back to school found out I owed somwhere in the neighborhood of $3500.

All of these fees are automated these days and the bank personnel have little to do with it.

Luckily for me the teller took pity on me and in a few strokes on the keyboard wiped out my fees. So while these fees are automated the bank can waive them in a few seconds if they aren't d!cks about it.
