Timothy, we will do what we always do - nothing. We will wait until the last minute for the crisis to happen and then jump into action to try to fix the damage when it's already too late. Have no doubt, the planet will definitely survive, but life will start to become a little more... competitive.
The chart simply shows that mass shootings in the US are relatively rare and, when they do happen, occur more often in densely populated areas - as you would expect. If you consider all the incidents where there is only one victim, the story would be this: an obscene number of people are killed by guns each and every day, whether intentionally or accidentally.

Give the thing to the IRS as payment of the tax, and ask them to pay back the difference (valuation minus tax). The IRS may suddenly have a different view on the worth of the thing once it belongs to them.
