My answer would have to be 'it depends on the disability', but that of course applies to physical as well as mental disabilities. You might equally ask if someone who is totally paralysed but mentally sound should be disqualified from office, but a certain Prof Hawking would argue that such barriers can be overcome. Mental disabilities are challenging in different ways, and no mental illness is the same. The only test for all disabilities, mental or physical should be 'can this person still carry out the duties of the job in question?' They may need assistance and/or special equipment, but a blanket 'no mental disabilities here' is unfair and unreasonable.
"You don’t see people selling their life on eBay" Someone may have to break the news to him that yes, it was seen and done 4 years ago. Same thing, life for sale on eBay: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/7479836.stm
Nooo! I get the one I've never even heard of - Daikaiju. I was about to be disappointed then looked it up and realised that it's uncannily accurate - I'm 6'9", so I will go for 'I was born on the year of the giant monster' :)
I was watching the weightlifting live (photo 6) and that really could have broken his back/neck or even killed him. It put him out of the competition, unsurprisingly. Nasty.
While I try to convince myself that I would never do this, I have to be realistic and assume that if I earned a 6-figure income I would probably pay more for my kids' clothes than would someone with a 5-figure income. $10k seems like a lot to most people, but where's the point at which we 'normal' people say, 'okay, you can spend that much, I don't disapprove'? They're rich, they have money, they spend it. I envy their wealth, but certainly not their attitude.
I think the water would have tasted of something else if I'd been in there when the elephant showed up! I'm sure the chlorine wouldn't seriously harm it, perhaps no more than a mild stomach ache - for comparison, remember what will have been wallowing in some of its usual watering holes (see my first sentence!)
