It's a Knight Light. Just plug the prongs into a high-voltage outlet and watch its soothing red-hot metal glow. Your kids will love it!

(Use only if children are fireproof.)

Wow, neat! I never knew that glass wasn't a solid... You know, I've always been fascinated by moldavite, it being millions of years old (and so pretty :D ). It's basically naturally occurring glass (like, say, obsidian), and you can pinpoint its origin quite exactly because all of it on this planet only exists courtesy of this one distinct meteor impact. But now I appreciate it a lot more, knowing that it's somehow solid and liquid at the same time (or maybe neither).

Looking further into it that also explains to me the difference between glass and rock crystal, which as a quartz would indeed be a strictly solid form of glass. I've really learned something today!

It's the first face hugger prototype. Man, they wasted three actresses before hitting on the idea that making it from unyielding metal might not be such a good idea after all... But hey, that's why now we have Sigourney Weaver, so be thankful for the little thingamajig!

It's the iBat'leth, a smaller handheld version of the original implement, with only a few of the Bat'leth's features but better mobile WiFi access. Rumor has it that an even smaller version, the iBat'leth mini, is in the works...

Oh, good - it's a spare planet, Third Rock From the Sun edition! In case of cataclysmic event, just break glass.

Wow, I never thought it would be that quick! The explanation afterwards about what it does to a human is not really appetizing either. Truly a nasty way to die.

BTW, props to the cameraman. Guy was pretty close to that snake being milked... I'd probably just have settled for a jittery zoom-in from far, far away...

Finally, the scientific breakthrough we've all been waiting for! Hybrid technology has struck at last where it matters and united the bong and the hamster ball - rodent-keeping smoking enthusiasts worldwide rejoice! ...but not as much as their hamsters, I guess...

I could never arrange my books by color - I'd never find the one I was looking for... But I work in marketing and I sadly have colleagues who do.

That said, I have two of the props mentioned in the article: A non-functional typewriter and colorful pots. Sigh.
