I'm a little skeptical about the history of this attraction. It sounds like a story was concocted to explain the reason. I couldn't find much history in my (admittedly short, 10-15 minutes) searching. Everything is self-referential to this tourist attraction. Given Portugal's history (a super-power before there were super-powers), you'd think there's be an abundance of detail, not just a bunch of old black-n-white photos of people taking this ride...
The steel belts inside the tire are worn or just plain broke, and can't hold the air pressure any more. They'll have a blow-out sooner rather than later. I've had that situation once, luckily I was only going ~10mph on a residential dead-end with no other traffic.
I don't know if it's related, but a certain 10 year old I know cannot comprehend "quarter past", e.g., 12:15. She says that it means 12:25. When I try to show her an analog clock face and ask her to divide it into quarters, she just looks at me as if I grew a third head...
I'm glad you were able to enjoy Flying Witch. Daniel Kim above me mentioned Sweetness and Lightning, and even tho he may not have seen it, it's at the top of my favorites right now. The premise may seem a bit pokey, but it's a lovely story of a single father with his kindergarten daughter. Seriously, at least twice episode 3 I had some tears in my eyes. Not wailing and gnashing kind of grief like Re:Zero likes to induce, but just seeing their relationship and an honest portray of a 6 year old ish child really brings out the emotions.

Had a hard time choosing out of all the great stuff you (always) have. I like Neatorama because you're all crazy.
