Very funny, but I think you'll find Sergio Leone is the major influence here. That was Ennio Morricone's music playing in the soundtrack, a composer Leone used in a lot of his films. And there are a lot of shots that mimic those in Leone's films - "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", for one.
