I have to blame both the news media and Americans themselves. The news media has seen a sad downturn in recent years and during the last few elections a lot of the bias has come to the forefront. Americans themselves have become complacent in their search of news and I think are latching on to Stewart's comedy as a sort of security blanket. I also think they are mistaking his ability to make fun of all sides of an argument for impartiality.

That being sad, I enjoy Stewart's show and I'm a big fan. I just don't take it too seriously. I turn to BBC for real news.
