Yes, it was originally composed as a joke, but the approach in the S.Korea version is totally earnest and unironic, so it seemed awkward.

Jon Stewart is the opposite of trustworthy. People mistake laughs for truth and earnestness for lies sometimes.

I hope they all see better days eventually (including the squalid, dazed-looking animals). The story is sad and wrily funny at the same time. The last pic w/ the painted donkey facing the wall like an emo and the zoo director's deadpan admission that “it’s really a painted donkey” are hilarious in a monty-pythonesque way.

Embarrassing. Teh version w/ the cats is better because at least it makes no attempt at seriousness.

This is nothing bt a glamourized suicide attempt. How the authorities greenlighted this is, if they have done so, is a mystery to me. He should get a Darwin Awards honorable mention and, most of all, he should be prosecuted for his moronic stunt.
