I'll grant you that restaurants should only serve water on request. But I'm not going to be ashamed of drinking water. Restaurant foods are in general, not the healthiest meals possible, and I don't want to add needless calories to my meals with sugar-laden soda pop or lemonades and teas. Often, if I do decide to have a pop or lemonade, I'll ask for no refills and switch to water after one glass.
You seem to be continually misspelling her name. The FB and Mental Floss links say Clarisa but you repeatedly type Clarissa. It seems a bit disrespectful.
It was *cancelled* (i.e. stopped producing new episodes) in 2006. The reason it's going around again now is because PBS is taking the reruns off the air.
If you are specifically talking about the fear of butterflies, it's lepidopterophobia, not flutterphobia. Fear of moths is mottephobia. I suffer both, and it sucks, especially when insensitive people laugh at you or pick up giant dead moths to show you. I am glad to see other people in this thread who admit their fear of butterflies. Nicole Kidman is a famous lepidopterophobic.
Yeah, they just did re-release her a couple of years ago in the new look. Huh.
They did a lot of dumb things, like making Pupcake also belong to Strawberry instead of Huckleberry Pie. But I think the worst offense was what they did to Angel Cake. In the original series, there was a whole episode about how Souffle Skunk became her pet. Now, it's a lamb named Vanilla Icing. Lame. "Ew a skunk can't be somebody's pet!" Balderdash. My mom and I will still smell a skunk and go "Yowie! A. Skunk!" (Part of the original episode - he thought that was his name because everyone would see him and go Yowie! A skunk!")
