Yeah, pretty assholish move. Besides, my family's electrical bill is more than twice that. Then again, it's winter here, and our heaters are electric. But the others who posted are right. You're not sticking it to the man, you're proving yourself an idiot to people with bigger problems than yourself.
I know math and physics are very interconnected. I just don't get what the ratio of the radius to the circumference of the circle has to do with relativity. Then again, I don't know any of the math behind it or even many aspects of the theory. But thanks, Miss C. :]
What am I missing that it's fitting that Einstein was born on Pi Day? I'm a little lacking in both math and physics... but I don't see how they're interconnected.
Wow. When I lived alone and was going to school, I lived on probably >$15/week. Though, I really only ate 1 meal a day, and I'm not good at the balanced diet thing. I lived on boxes of mac and cheese (You can get 3 boxes for $5, and a box takes me 2 or 3 days to eat), tomato soup, rice, bread, and frozen chicken patties. Even their limited budget seems gluttonous to me. Then again, they probably don't quickly end up with nutrient deficiencies when they forget to take their multivitamin. xD
And it's not a question of whether the dolls are bad for children. It's a question of liberty. In my opinion, it's better to have made a wrong choice, than never know that there was a choice at all.
The sound really bothers me. I've had experience with it. When a friend found out how much it bothers me in high school, he'd open a tone generator on a laptop and play the noise. And the teachers would be totally clueless as to why I was yelling at him. >.>
It's neat. I really don't like how it explains 1st degree burns as "sun-burn like discomfort"... You can have any degree burn from the sun. I have the scars to prove third degree burns from the sun are possible.
I know a guy who did the same thing. He was making homemade bombs out of beer bottles and black powder, though. He was an idiot... but he doesn't have freckles anymore.
What about books that aren't on every banned book list on the internet? A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, or Annie On My Mind by Nancy Garden. Though, I guess they aren't technically classics...
My mother is a hospice nurse, and she prays with her patients and their families frequently. I'm an atheist, but I think if it helps dying people and their loved ones come to terms with the reality of the situation, it's great. Someone losing their job (or even being warned) over it is pure political bullshit (if you're close to any nurses, you know the administrations are highly political).

There's another great one right there.
This is like... a repost of a repost.
But it's a great site.
