I am American and was curious & googled "American male coming of age rituals". What are they? This country has no cultural traditions so to speak because we are a nation of immigrants all not trying to meld together. We have regional traditions but not "cultural". Could it be that the U.S. is such a large country? WE become 18, grow older and that's that. Part of the problem with this nation is too many children that look like adults (and too many laws). I may be one of them.I somehow feel a disconnection not having a way to separate my child self to the adult. And by the way I am not a stupid fat American.
