ha! i used to work on animating this to sell it to congress (1996-seattle-boeing) the real one looks cooler than the one i animated. as far as i know, it only shoots down ballistic missiles. the scary part is the entire 747 is filled with nasty chemical-powered lasers.
ok, ive thought about this all day. the blurry jet trail does not blur the airplane, and the worst part is the jet trail smears the moon past the edge of the moon.
and then there's scale and the fact that the sky would have to be bright red to color the plane that color.... where the sky seems to be black.
