I think that less literal readings of the Bible generally don't involve Cain marrying his sister. According to the footnotes in the Oxford Annotated Bible, the narrative about Cain and Abel Chapter 4 of Genesis was likely based on a Babylonian narrative that has no connection to the Babylonian narratives that the rest of the first few chapters of Genesis were based on. (Funny how I never heard about that in Sunday school.)
Would there be any way to take the wild bananas that the ones we eat evolved from and once again manipulate them to evolve into edible bananas? Or are the wild bananas also affected by Panama disease?
Even if this site seems to have a slight tinge of testosterone poisoning, this is a fairly good list of books. There are a few I would've left off (I actually think that The Dharma Bums is a much better Kerouac novel than On The Road), but overall, not a bad list. I also really like a lot of the pictures of books that accompany the list.
Any chance of this thing opening up a portal to some other dimenson and some kind of horrible H.P. Lovecraft beastie coming out? That would be pretty cool. (I just got an urge to go rewatch John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness).
