As someone who, in the past, has had to take out a restraining order against a stalker, my sympathies are definitely with the plaintiff.

Some people are not sophisticated enough with regard to computers to understand how to defriend or block folks. But the person who did the poking knew exactly what she was doing. It was provocative - apparently deliberately so.

The person who stalked me, by the way, did everything possible to get around the restraining order and I had to have her arrested finally. Sometimes that is what it takes to get a person to recognize and honor appropriate boundaries.

If it hasn't happened to you, you have no idea how intimidating it can be to have someone constantly intruding in your life who doesn't understand the meaning of the word "no".

Good grief. Have you people completely given up on the idea of rehabilitation? I should think you'd be happy at the thought that some prisoners want to do some good in the world while they're incarcerated.

The best thing you can do, by the way, to fight global warming is to stop eating meat. The meat industry puts more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than all the motorized vehicles in the world.

While you're thinking about this, educate yourselves on the cruelty of factory farming methods, animal transport realities and what REALLY happens in slaughterhouses. Animals are sentient beings who suffer and feel pain the same way we do. Perhaps it's even worse for them because they cannot possibly understand what is happening to them and why.

Yes, I know. Some animals kill other animals for food. And when I'm willing to kill another animal with my own teeth and claws and eat it on the spot, then I'll eat meat too.

Catapulting squirrels is NOT funny. It's unspeakably cruel. The squirrel does NOT understand what it's doing when it knocks the power line loose and will certainly not understand its "punishment". You people who think cruelty to animals is funny need some sensitivity training about animal suffering. Shame on you!
