It might be a bit harder for them to sue a pair of parents for doing that though, as - aside from the photo - their mural isn't on public display. You can do copyright infringements like this for example as long as you keep it to yourself and don't use it for your business for example. In day-care centers it is an essential part of their business (you know, children need to have a fitting environment etc) to design the rooms, so I can understand where Disney took the base for that lawsuit. Not that I agree with it.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get a high number of new registrations these days. Like me. Been on here for ages, but never registered. Mainly because the links for "login" or "register" are a bit hidden :)

it is very well done, but for a baby it might be a tad scary. Also scientist say that it is better for children if their environment is colourful, they'll learn to focus better and faster. But that aside, nice mural.

Kacey: absolutely love yours :)

maybe if he gets to keep the money he won't rob any banks anymore.... for a while :) or he could get the taste of lots of money again and then start to rob.
i'd say: send him to jail but give him the winnings - put them on a bank account so they can grow meanwhile

I think not having children is selfish, too, it means that you can use all your money and time for yourself and have way more fun in the world. I seriously don't believe her reasoning, it is just an excuse to get attention from the media. I myself am thinking seriously about whether or not to have children, and if so, how many (although that is just a choice between "1" and "2" ;)) for two reasons:
a) I also want to have some fun myself and not go through the cycle of suffering ("school - uni - work - mother" and nothing else in between)
b) I am not sure if I could cope with being a mother. I think I would be a bad one :/

other than that, there are, of course, quite a few reasons pro having kids.

but well... just my 2c.

I agree to the curious person, I'd even *rather* have a computer/functioning piano. I even have an idea as to how to build it, but one would have to use an epiano to fit in a "proper piano's" case...

Well, then I'll give it a go :) The book looks really cool as well.
My most memorable experience is actually from when I was a little girl. Back then we still lived in Russia, commuting between Moscow and a smaller place called "Aleksin" and our garden with a shed somewhere entirely different. We very often went out to the nature, to the woods for example. That trip always involved walking quite a long way (for a little girl that is) through fields with a little stream. Nothing, no buildings around, just crop, grass and that stream. We always would stop by a certain itsy bitsy teeeny bridge where we'd fill our bottles with that fresh water (I can still feel the taste of it). Then we'd continue, walking on to the woods. There she would show me how to start the camping fire, and how to put together a "shashlik" properly (there is an art to it). I always loved the roasting of apples on sticks, or putting foil around potatoes and placing them into the glowing wood. Also, we would - in the fall - put together a pile of fallen leaves and burn them, too. I know it is forbidden nowadays, but i tell you, nothing beats that smell. We would also collect flowers growing in the woods and make a little flower crown, or a bracelet, out of them.

The whole Russian countryside left many memorable things in my heart, like when we had to walk for a mile to get fresh water from a well :) or fed a little hedgehog that regularly visited us...

out of curiosity: when did you celebrate it? Because from many people in good ol' Blighty I heard that they celebrated it on Saturday, the 3rd of November - simply because it was the weekend. Did anyone stick to the actual date?
