This is pretty morbid and disrespectful. Especially with the dvd and face mask. It would take a really wretched human being to actually derive joy from the death of another human being like this.
I dunno. The last guy was a little creepy with his musician allegory, but the rest of it wasn't creepy at all. Seems just like the kind of USO type stuff you'd find on U.S. television of the time, just in German and about Germany.
She wouldn't have gone to prison for murder. There is no U.S. court that would convict her.
Furthermore, haven't you ever heard of a citizen's arrest? I may not want a gun in my house and I never plan on owning one. But that woman did EXACTLY the right thing in that situation. She did not discharge her weapon. She kept a level head and she was smart about it. Just because I don't feel comfortable holding a firearm does not mean I should strip away the rights of others to LEGALLY procure and own one. She owned a small handgun, not a semi-automatic (which I do have issues with private citizens owning, but that's a whole different debate.)
Bean - you're being very closeminded. Get over yourself.
Also, I'm not sure why people think this song is trying to be "clever"...I'm pretty sure it's a song about zombies. Most songs about zombies are not clever and don't need to be. Seriously. It's just a fun electro song.
So what? Pretty much any product you own can somehow be connected to some sort of labor that is considered immoral/unethical/illegal in the States.
It took several hundred years for our economy to evolve to the one we have. At some point those evolutionary points will happen to growing third world economies. Perhaps they will evolve slightly differently, perhaps not. But expecting other countries to subscribe to our economic standards when it took use centuries to get here is ludicrous. These things take time.
I'm a little confused. Are you saying it's only an urban myth that the shanghai tunnels were used as opium dens, bootlegging routes, and other nefarious things?
I'm pretty sure they were used for that purpose, though.
I may just be tired and read the article too quickly...
Where do the people who believe she deserves "every cent" think the money comes from? It comes from tax dollars. These people were cops paid by the city, she sued the city's police department. The people of Chicago have to pay for this. The police department isn't a private company where they have assets and profits. Yes, she was mistreated and now with further information, I do believe that this is not a he said/she said incident. The cop freaked because he lost his gun. That being said, she does not deserve 8 million dollars. That IS excessive.
I love the tee shirt because it implies how bogus and asinine these conspiracy theories are and it's damn funny!
Also, a black hole would not get bigger. It would stay the same size. It would also not move toward the center as it does in the video.
Why are you trying to spread more of this paranoid hysteria?
Text message adverts are irritating and unwanted, but they are NOT deadly. Being an idiot and walking without paying attention can be deadly.
