oh shibuya....how many days i wandered down your streets to and from language class and shopping......i miss you......this video totally brings back memories...
how did some of these kids do their research? i mean some of it sounds like they'd need some serious lab equipment. and huzzah to the kid killing the mosquitos without pesticides!
i did a project at university for design classthat was along these lines. it was called our kid toys, and included such items as baby's first 40 oz (with rubber nipple attachment), a pacifier which was a cigarette holder, and of course baby's first crack pipe....i thought it was hilarious, but my teacher, not so much.....oh well.
there's no way in hell i would fish of tom sawyer island! have you seen the water in that place? all speckled with what my girlfriend and i called "disney magic" it looks like folgers crystals floating in a water sludge.
i saw on the science channel that there is a biologist in new mexico ( i think) that is doing this on a much larger scale and more efficiently. unfortunately the technology to get the oil from the algae is currently too expensive, and it is a specific type of algae that can do this (ie not your everyday pond algae will be able to create oil).....however, the truly cool part is the algae grows exponentially.....so today you have 2 liters tomorrow you have 4 the following day you have 8 etc. etc etc.
i think maybe some people have forgotten how surly they were when they were teenagers....i am not defending his actions cos the kid is a douchecanoe, but teenagers are a surly sulky lot. i remember hating to have to go home on school breaks just because i would have to live under my parents rules again. i may have broken the rules a lot but i never hit my mom nor called her nasty names...
she has obviously seen chasing amy due to her description of vader as a crusty old white man..........that whole scene is really the only good part in chasing amy imo
