Iva Toguri was proven to actually help American POWs in Japan during the war and helped get messages out during her broadcasts. She did not wan to take the position, but Americans encouraged her to. Many women did broadcasts during the war--Tokyo Rose was the name used for all of them. She was innocent.
Her family store is still there and she worked in till 1-2 years prior to her death. I know this for she waited on me, from the age of 13. I never knew her history till, the last year she worked the store.
The store is a skeleton of its former glory-since the Chicago Japanese population moved to the burbs -starting 15 years ago. The over store like them, closed in 1999.

I can remember being 14 years old and my father having me hop out of the car, and drop off a live grenade at the police station. no officer was in station, so the receptionist took it~! No questions asked. That was in the mid 70's. He bought at a flea market--thinking it was a dummy-then realized it was real at home.

Never free care-you will get billed for it in the end--far more in an ER, then trying the federally funded clinics--that Indiana does have.

I ignored the other nerd in H.S, when I found out he had a crush on me, though he was always nice /kind to me. I had no social skills. 20 years later-a chance encounter with his sister lead to emails and a friendship meal--that ended in a park making out like teenagers at 2am! He proposed in his underpants--NOT romantic!
He then had to face my father for permission--with the whole family at the house--my father ran him thru the ringer for an hour--with jokes--before we all celebrated.
Been married 10 years now.
I also made and sold Tribbles in high school for pocket money!

I thought it was stuff sent to you guys as promo's and now spreading the wealth with us. Not buying a crate a of junk and sending it out to us. That is no fun.

i just want to know how it got there in the first place.
second the cockpit is a very, very confined space. some starts to fly in this, where nothing is never suppose to--that is not a scenerio they teach you to deal with. a certain portion of pilots will fail to handle the issue. top gun marine pilots -would no even flinch an eyelid!
no i have no tom cruise crush, my cousin lived the movie, and ended up teaching.

i have been reading about british eccentric, and in the 1800's there was a period where the rich built their gardens, so a hermit could live there. it was the height of garden fashion then--they would build grottos or caves above ground for them to live in, and take gust to see their hermit. actually there was a great hermit shortage among the rich--not enough to go around in fact. Vanity Fair had an article a couple months ago about current british eccentrics, and this got me reading about past ecccentrics--british, american, japanese--are the books i have bought. canadian i have not bought yet.
